Patta x Nike Air Max 1 “Monarch”
The Patta x Nike Air Max 1 “Monarch” is a collaborative effort between Nike and Amsterdam-based streetwear brand Patta, released in October 2021 as part of ‘The Wave’ collection. This iteration of the classic Air Max 1 introduces a wavy mudguard and vibrant color accents, offering a fresh take on an iconic silhouette.
The upper features light grey mesh with white leather overlays, complemented by a Monarch orange suede Swoosh. The standout wavy mudguard, also in Monarch orange suede, includes an embroidered mini-Swoosh on the lateral forefoot. A pre-yellowed sail polyurethane midsole with a visible Air unit provides cushioning, while the multicolor rubber waffle outsole ensures traction. Patta branding appears on the woven tongue tags and insoles, with a Nike Air callout on the heel.The release included extra beige laces, a Patta bracelet, and a black Patta pouch in the version with accessories.
